My flights are now booked (only $89 each way with Virgin - gotta love that). I'll be able to do something on the Saturday and Monday. Sunday is out as I'll be going to the NRL final.

The earlier you book the cheaper the prices...Cheapest flight i ever got was $59 one way to Sydney from Armidale back in 2005..My flight to NZ cost me $373 return but my flight to Honolulu in July cost me about $2000 return!!! Mind you its with Hawaiian Airlines and my NZ flight is with Freedom Air...
Yeah I will be watching the NRL grand final on telly that night too... But I will be available for the rest of the time..

Please count me in as well.
Another idea is to keep an eye out on Virgin Blue because they have cheap flights on all the time and they also have Happy Hour as well.
Hopefully I will have a free night with my accomodation card.
Let me know.

Also for accommodation...if you look on wotif.com near to the date you will find really cheap accommodation..im talking 50-60% off what you would normally pay.. And also look at Jetstar for cheap airfares....

don't forget Grobie extra too!!! we might have to rent a bus or something to "cart" everyone around... extending sounds good to me... probably 'cos I'm in Sydney and will be here anyway!!! But I guess it'll depend on how much time everyone can spare...

yeah, lets get dates, then we can look at our options. like if we extend it, we probably want slightly cheaper places than if its only a couple of days, and prices and availability may vary on dates... We also soon probably need to get an idea on numbers..
