Alan Jones has been playing snippets of Noel all week. This morning (at 5.55am) he had Josh on the phone from Scandinavia. Earlier in the week he wasn't sure whether he was going to be able to talk to him but as always, Alan tracked him down. Josh said he was in Scandinavia doing some TV stuff and then would be off to Paris before heading home for Christmas. His brother graduated from college and the whole family would get together for Christmas. He was looking forward to going back home to catch up with his family and friends and his dog. He said he was going to take 1 or 2 months off to recharge himself because he has been on the road for 11 months. He has been writing, while on the road, and is looking forward to putting a demo together in the new year. His Noel CD is number one in America and Alan said it's number 1 here (not sure if he was just saying that?). Anyway Alan said he would keep in touch via email and text (ooooo can we have those numbers and address?). I guess the interview was around four to five minutes with a few snippets of Noel thrown in. There was only some small exchange on the weather there in Scandinavia and how the people in Scandinavia know him (in answer to Alan asking if they know who he is there) and he loves it there just as he loves Australia. I think that was the general idea. Sorry Alan didn't warn us (during the short amount of time that I listen to him of a morning) that he was definitely going to interview him, otherwise I would have posted a time and date. I think I covered the main bits. Oh, then Alan went on about what a beautiful and generous person he was for sharing his music with us. And.... he talked about the making of Noel - it was a challenge to make. He gave the reasons but I can't remember exactly - I think it was something like he was trying to record the traditional songs in a unique way.
P.S. hope I have posted this in the right place otherwise can someone move it to where it should go. Ta
