I think I'd be keen on doing that. Will pay attention to the boards, I should be able to make it to some kind of activity. It's my grandmothers birthday on the 6th, and I will probably be working at the NRL GF. You know, when Brisbane once again makes it to the final. [Well, it would be nice to send off some of the guys with a win lol] But yeah I am still in Sydney!

Woo Hoo!!! The list is growing... Yvette... I'll find out more details about the backstage tour of the Sydney Opera House and get back to you. Not everyone may be interested, so will have to see how the numbers go. Also... for those of you who are coming from outstation... what do you think about maybe all staying at the one hotel? I could help check out rates, etc... but it would probably be good to have one main place to meet, etc and head off for activities and all that. With the National Get-together... we could also do some fundraising for Aussies for Siyawela!!! What do you guys think??? Sorry... my mind's rolling with a million ideas at the moment... I'll keep quiet for now... Jo

na, don't keep quiet Jo! Keep em coming. From memory the backstage tour is about $150 a head, tho I may be wrong. Fundraising sounds like a fantastic idea, lets do as much as we can! I'm doing an essay which is due by like midnight, so I really have to go, but I'll be back. These ideas are awesome people!

jo don't stop you have fantastic ideas. if annali is right about the tour costing $150 a head i don't think many will be able to afford it. maybe we could sweet talk the guys at the operahouse since were regulars to give us a discount

You're right Annali... the backstage tour is about $150 a head!!! Oops... Sorry... I should've checked it out a bit better... Maybe a little out of our budget? I could email them and see if we could do a group tour of SOH if anyone's keen. I guess the next question is what's everyone's budget in terms of things to do, etc for the long weekend. Good luck with your essay!!! How do you submit it by midnight?

Hi all
I'd love to meet all you lovely people but I don't think Sydney is going to be an option for me at this stage.
Happy Joshing Heather22 xx

RE: The Opera House Tour Yes, there is a backstage tour that costs approx. $150, but this is a small intimate tour (up to 8 pax) that also includes breakfast. They still do the "normal" Essentials tour that's only $32, or $25 if booked and paid for on-line. Also, Group Tours for larger groups (13-40 pax) can be arranged via contacting the Opera House directly. While I did the tour many, many, many years ago, I'd still be keen to the basic "Essentials" tour. Just throwing it out there. Imagine if it was an all-grobies tour. We'd have to forewarn them to make sure they threw in lots of Josh stories...

LOL This is going to be amazing. (I submit essays online- as long as it has the days timestamp on it, it doesn't matter what time it is submitted..) I think a standard group tour could be cool. I'm the head of the social committee at work also, so I'll keep an eye out for potential josh moments

i was at the easter show today and in my showbags there are discount vouchers for the jet boat ride in sydney. i have 4 vouchers which are good for 6 people each. i don't know how much the jet boat ride is originally but you save $15 per adult and $10 per child

I think the jetboat rides are about $70 for an adult...And I went to the Easter Show yesterday and had a great time...I even got hypnotised by Shane St James...that was so freaky!! Yeah I use E-submission for my uni assignments...and its good cos the uni have put this program on which checks your assignments for originality...the only thing I hate is you have to send them in PDF... And I am still coming to this thing... ;D
